Description

Thank you for reading my profile and I hope we’ll get to work together. As a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I bring over 27 years of nursing experience—including 17 years specifically in psychiatry—to my practice of compassionate, evidence-based mental health care. My approach integrates advanced clinical expertise with a deep commitment to understanding each individual’s unique life circumstances and personal narratives. My educational foundation reflects my dedication to comprehensive care and systems-level understanding. I hold a Doctorate in Nursing Practice with specialization in Healthcare Systems Leadership, an Advanced Graduate Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and a Master’s in Nursing Education. This multifaceted academic background enables me to address mental health challenges through various complementary lenses. Throughout my extensive clinical experience, I’ve developed a patient-centered methodology that recognizes the complex interplay between biological, psychological, social, and cultural factors in mental health. I believe that effective treatment emerges from quieting the noise that often accompanies psychological distress, creating space for clarity and deeper understanding. My practice is grounded in the recognition that healing happens within relationships—both with the provider and within one’s broader support system. I value collaborative care that integrates the wisdom of the family unit and medical team when appropriate, while maintaining the individual’s needs and confidentiality as paramount priorities.
