Tanya Monroe, PMHNP-BC

Ms. Tanya Monroe is an adult psychiatric & mental health nurse practitioner. Working at Orenda Psychiatry in Brooklyn and Smyrna, NY, she accepts patients suffering from hyperactivity disorders (ADD / ADHD), anxiety, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). Ms. Monroe is sensitive to the uniqueness of each patient’s situation and accordingly adapts her consultations. Her treatment modalities include medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes. She educates caregivers on how to care for the patient to help them heal and recover. She also conducts psychiatry follow-ups to evaluate progress and change the care plan if necessary. Ms. Monroe obtained her bachelor’s degree from William Paterson University and her master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from Walden University. Owing to her expertise, she holds a certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Additionally, she is certified in basic life support (BLS), advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS), and pediatric advanced life support (PALS) by the American Heart Association.
