Dr. Herring joined Sage Health to pursue his passion to serve seniors in Montgomery and the surrounding areas with comprehensive, coordinated, high-quality, and cost-effective healthcare. He strongly believes education and coordinated healthcare play a crucial role in improving and maintaining overall health.and wellness, while fostering a strong, long-term, trusting relationship between patients and all members of the care team.

Experience:

Dr. Herring is a primary care provider with 25+ years of clinical experience in home and office-based and hospital settings, providing evaluation, treatment, and monitoring of multiple medical issues (both acute and chronic). Throughout his career, he has also held various medical director positions with a focus on various musculoskeletal problems and the treatment of acute pain and illnesses. He also served as Medical Director of the Ryan White Program, a federally funded program to provide access to healthcare and treatment for HIV (+) patients in underserved areas. When not at work, in addition to spending time with his family, he enjoys being outdoors, usually gardening, hunting, fishing, or just relaxing.

He is married to Elizabeth (Libby) Herring and considers his greatest accomplishment, his three children, Alex, Aleah, and Wesley.
