Description
Dr. Abedin is a native of the metropolitan area. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Cornell University with a bachelor’s degree and earned his Doctor of Medicine from Virginia Commonwealth University’s Medical College of Virginia. He is double board certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine (adult medicine).
Dr. Abedin provides care to a diverse range of patients, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. He enjoys Pediatrics, Preventative Family Medicine/Internal Medicine, Cosmetic Dermatology, Alternative Health, and Teaching.
Dr. Abedin helped pioneer the first hospital interface in the INOVA Healthcare system to Loudoun Hospital and serves on the Advisory Boards for A4 Healthsystems electronic medical records and INOVA hospital system’s IT committee. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University – Medical College of Virginia. He received his acupuncture certification from Kiiko Matsumoto at Harvard Medical School and holds a Certification in Structural Acupuncture from Harvard University.
