Description
Dr. Amy Birnbaum is a fellowship-trained Hand and Upper Extremity Orthopedic Surgeon with special training in microsurgery. Her goal is to provide comprehensive care for diseases and injuries to the hand, shoulder, arm, elbow, and wrist in order to help restore function and relieve pain for her patients.
Dr. Birnbaum provides a broad range of surgical treatment of the arm, including fracture care, joint replacements, ligamentous and nerve repair, tumour surgery and arthroscopy. Dr. Birnbaum completed her orthopedic surgery residency at NYU Langone Orthopedic Hospital in Manhattan.
She then completed an upper extremity and microsurgery fellowship at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. Dr. Birnbaum has published multiple articles to benefit the scientific community in upper extremity care. She is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery.
