Description
Arin E. Kim, MD, is an attending physician and Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Kim treats problems of the hand, wrist, and elbow in patients of all ages. Common conditions she treats are peripheral neuropathy, arthritis, fractures, and tendon and ligament injuries of the upper extremity. Her specialized clinical interests are in peripheral nerve and brachial plexus injury and congenital hand conditions. After receiving her Bachelor of Science majoring in Biology and Economics from Yale University, Dr. Kim attended Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, earning her Doctor of Medicine. She completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. She further pursued fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York before joining the faculty at Montefiore Einstein. Dr. Kim’s research focuses on the pathology of the upper extremity, and she has given numerous presentations at national conferences and published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. She is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Her professional interests include teaching medical students and residents and mentoring female and minority students
