Doctor Asante believes in educating his patients through clear communication and community outreach. He earned his medical degree from People’s Friendship University of Russia Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Pediatrics at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. He also holds a Master’s in Public Health from Harvard University and completed a residency in Public Health and General Preventive Medicine at the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. As a student at Harvard, he developed a strong commitment to sharing knowledge with those around him. His patients often refer to him as a “teacher” because of his dedication to raising awareness and promoting preventative screening. ATTENTION HMO PATIENTS: Patients coming in for physicals who have HMO insurance plans (e.g., Affinity, Fidelis, Healthfirst, Metroplus, Tricare) need to obtain cards with Dr. Asante’s name listed as their PCP. For urgent sick visits, these patients should call their plans for authorization numbers before booking appointments.
