Description
Brian Galler, DO, primarily specializes in Cardiology and Cardiovascular Disease, which involves the whole body. He treats a wide range of cardiovascular illnesses, including high blood pressure, high cholesterol, arrhythmias, and blockages in the coronary arteries. He also manages patients’ risk factors for heart disease, such as diabetes, obesity, and other medical conditions. Dr. Galler takes a personal interest in addressing other aspects of cardiovascular disease, including peripheral arterial disease and venous insufficiency. Dr. Galler earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rowan University, followed by a fellowship in Cardiology at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center. “I approach each patient as a single entity. Their personal habits, lifestyle choices, medical conditions, physical disabilities, and concomitant conditions all come into play when caring for their cardiovascular status. I prefer to see each patient in their entirety, addressing all of their complex issues fully, and never ignoring any aspect of their care,” he says. According to Dr. Galler, the patient is the most important aspect during a visit. He commits fully to their care and is happy to speak with friends and family members to gather details about their disease and symptoms. He uses all of his resources and skills to assist in their care, regardless of the amount of time needed. Outside his practice, Dr. Galler is an avid skier. When not working in the winter, he is usually thinking about a trip to Utah to ski or even a quick weekend in the Northeast. In warmer weather, he plays golf and enjoys music as well. When able, he loves to travel and experience life from different perspectives. He is also passionate about educating the community on cardiac care and prevention through lifestyle choices and behavior.
