Description
Medicine is a shared responsibility, a combined effort between you and me. As a physician, I must have the requisite technical skills, knowledge base, and communication skills. Those qualities and your commitment to a full recovery provide the best results. Medicine allows me to serve others in a meaningful way. Orthopedic surgery is mentally and physically challenging, but also rewarding because most musculoskeletal conditions can be treated in ways that significantly improve the patient’s quality of life. During 15 years of practice, I have volunteered at multiple free clinics in underserved areas and find the work extremely rewarding. Most of these patients are in desperate need of orthopedic care and are very appreciative. “Downtime” is often spent with my three children, engaging in outdoor activities such as tennis, hiking, skiing, or physical exercise of some kind. When feeling particularly ambitious, I can be found practicing guitar.
