\Dr. Waisbren attended the University of Wisconsin and is a graduate of Tufts Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He served as a medical clerkship in Oxford, England, with Dr. Paul Beeson, and a cardiovascular clerkship in Houston, Texas, with Dr. Michael DeBakey. He then served his internship and medical residency at Boston City Hospital. Dr. Waisbren received his advanced cardiovascular training at the Cornell–New York Hospital Medical Center in New York City. He is board-certified in both internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
