Dr. Clifford Stark is dual board certified in Sports Medicine and Family Medicine, holding certification for each with both the ACGME (allopathic) and AOA (osteopathic) boards. Since 2011, he has been the Program Director for the Northwell Plainview Sports Medicine Fellowship and a member of the teaching faculty at NYU Langone Medical Center. Prior to this, Dr. Stark served on faculty at Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital as the Director of Sports Medicine and Orthopedics for the Family Medicine Residency for six years. Dr. Stark currently serves as the team physician for Berkeley College, also providing medical care for various national sports teams, as well as many world-class athletes across the nation and around the world. He has also worked on-site providing coverage at top facilities and events such as the US Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, The US Open Tennis Tournament, and many others. Dr. Stark is one of only a select few physicians in the nation (and merely a handful in NY) specifically trained in Primary Care Sports Medicine, along with further specialization in state-of-the-art nonsurgical treatments for musculoskeletal injuries, such as prolotherapy, PRP (platelet rich plasma) and stem cell injections, regenerative medicine, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound/ultrasound guided injections, and osteopathic manipulation. Dr. Stark is frequently cited in international media publications such as Daily Mail, Runners World, Men???s Health, and SELF, among others, and has been interviewed on television for Fox News, PIX 11, and other networks. His book, Living with Sports Injuries, has educated student athletes nationwide on the causes and types of sports injuries, treatment and prevention, and more. He has also authored two chapters in Principles of Manual Sports Medicine, the first complete how-to guide to the use of manual medicine techniques for sports injuries. Dr. Stark is committed to the art of understanding every patient.
