Description
Dr. Daniel Spunberg is a triple board-certified physician in the specialties of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Spinal Cord Injury Medicine, and Sports Medicine. Dr. Spunberg’s interests involve care in the areas of musculoskeletal and joint pain, back and spinal pain, neurological disorders, and sports medicine. He focuses on creating an individualized plan for each unique patient, utilizing both non-invasive as well as interventional approaches via fluoroscopy and ultrasound-guided means to treat pain and manage recovery from injuries.
Above all else, Dr. Spunberg prides himself on getting to truly know his patients, building meaningful and lasting relationships by way of honest communication, active listening, compassion, and positivity. Dr. Spunberg completed his undergraduate studies at Columbia University, where he majored in Chemistry. He completed medical school at Florida Atlantic University’s Schmidt College of Medicine, medical internship at Mount Sinai Elmhurst Hospital in New York, NY, and residency training in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Burke Rehabilitation Hospital in White Plains, NY.
He then returned to the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, NY, where he completed consecutive fellowships in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine and Sports Medicine, respectively.
