Dr. Beaman completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Louisville and his medical degree at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine. He subsequently began his residency at Florida Atlantic University in general psychiatry and has called Florida home ever since. He likewise pursued additional certification for perinatal mental health.

While he is knowledgeable in all fields of adult psychiatry, he has particular expertise with bipolar disorders, depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and perinatal mental health.
