Dr. Ellen Chelnitsky, DO

  • New York

Description

Dr. Chelnitsky received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at New Paltz. There, she was involved in numerous research projects, which helped her build deep knowledge of science and acted as a foundation for her future studies in medicine. Most importantly, Dr. Chelnitsky volunteered in different hospitals and worked closely with physicians to learn the “humane” side of medicine.

Dr. Chelnitsky obtained her medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, where she learned not only the science behind the medicine but also that human bodies have a unique ability to “heal” themselves if regulatory mechanisms are balanced. She learned to treat the whole person instead of a “collection of diseases.” As part of her training, Dr. Chelnitsky worked in numerous hospitals with patients of various cultural and socio-economic backgrounds.

After completing her Internal Medicine residency, Dr. Chelnitsky spent many years working in a busy primary care practice where she was the leading physician, treating thousands of patients every year. Dr. Ellen Chelnitsky’s patients always speak very highly of her. Several of the patients travel from out of state to see her. She specializes in treating various medical conditions and also concentrates on preventive medicine. This helps keep her patients healthy and improves their quality of life.
