Dr. Jacowitz has been practicing cardiology in the tristate area for the last 25 years. He is currently working for Valley Medical Arrhythmia and Cardiology Group located at 200 West 57th St. in Manhattan. He obtained his medical degree from Downstate Medical center in Brooklyn, completed an internal medicine residency at Metropolitan and Harlem Hospitals, and his initial cardiology fellowship at Harlem Hospital. After practicing cardiology for 6 years, he decided to obtain further invasive and interventional training at Dartmouth-Mary Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. Currently he is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, nuclear cardiology, and echocardiography. For over 25 years, he practiced non-invasive, invasive and interventional cardiology but now focuses strictly on non-invasive cardiology by providing the follow services for his patients: consultative cardiology, echocardiography, stress testing, preventive cardiology, and arrhythmia monitoring and management. When appropriate, patients can be referred to other subspecialists in electrophysiology, cardiac intervention, structural heart, and cardiac surgery. Outside interests include travel, Italian language, reading, and exercise. As a former 2:35 marathoner and former 2nd degree black belt in Taekwondo, he is interested in helping those who want to start exercise especially patients with underlying cardiovascular disease and for others who want to improve their performance.
