Description
Dr. Jose Campos was born and raised in New York City, where he lived until the age of 11, when his family was relocated to Buenos Aires, Argentina, and later Mexico City, Mexico. He returned to attend college at New York University and medical school at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
Dr. Campos’s post-graduate training included an Internship at Saint Vincent’s Catholic Medical Center and a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at UMDNJ – Kessler. After his residency, he pursued a fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York in Sports Medicine and Interventional Spine procedures.
Dr. Campos is Board Certified in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation as well as Sports Medicine. He is a member of the AAPMR and the Association of Academic Physiatrists, where he has participated in teaching resident workshops. Dr. Campos specializes in Musculoskeletal/Sports Medicine, in which he diagnoses and treats a variety of musculoskeletal complaints. He performs peripheral joint injections, ultrasound guided injections, EMG/Nerve Conduction Studies, and fluoroscopically guided lumbar spine injections.
Dr. Campos and his wife have been married for one year and are currently living in Jersey City. In his spare time, he likes spending time with his family and puppy, watching movies, playing basketball, skiing, and attending sporting events.
