Before being seen by Dr Oweis, patients need to contact their insurance company and request switching their Primary Care Provider prior to appointment or be ready to switch PCP while in the office before being seen by Dr Oweis. Note that it could only be done during normal business hours 9-5pm Monday to Friday . Patients with appointments after 5pm will need to have PCP switched prior to coming to their scheduled appointment.

Dr. Julia Oweis is a Board Certified Internal Medicine doctor with over 25 years of experience. Dr Oweis is now a part of the Comprehensive Medical Arts Group to serve patients in three various locations of New York City. Patients scheduling appointments with Dr. Oweis can receive a full range of care for acute and chronic medical problems, such as asthma, diabetes, high blood pressure, sleep disturbances, etc. Dr Oweis sees patients from 19 years old onward for annual health examinations, general consultations, as well as preventive medicine and disease screening.

Dr. Oweis works in conjunction with other Board Certified Physicians who specialize in a range of fields including Cardiology, Neurology, Pain Management, Pulmonology, Sleep Medicine, Gastroenterology, etc. At Medical Arts clinics, all our doctors work together and share our Practice’s vision and mission to provide comprehensive medical care for our patients. Dr. Oweis successfully pre-evaluates patients before our specialists, and will refer to appropriate tests which may be necessary for the further evaluation of a health issue.
