Lauren Roth, MD, is an Attending Physician at Montefiore and an Instructor of Pediatrics at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Roth’s main clinical focus is providing pediatric primary care at the Comprehensive Family Care Center and inpatient care. She also has particular expertise in caring for LGBTQ+ youth, as well as experience in medical student and resident education. In 2012, Dr. Roth received her Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience and Behavioural Biology at Emory University. She then attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she received her Doctor of Medicine in 2016. Dr. Roth completed her postgraduate training from 2016 to 2019 with a residency in Pediatrics at New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. In addition to her clinical focus, Dr. Roth’s research interests include work on LGBTQ+ healthcare, particularly gender-affirming care for transgender youth, and ways to educate pediatric faculty and trainees regarding clinical practice and treatment guidelines for children with gender dysphoria. Her work has been published in a number of peer-reviewed journals and articles. Dr. Roth received the Resident of the Year Award in 2019, given to her by the New York-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In 2015, Dr. Roth was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honour Societies.
