He continued his education at Northeast College of Health Sciences (formerly New York Chiropractic College), earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic.
Dr. Rombolakis achieved academic excellence earning entry into Phi Chi Omega Scholastic Honor Society and graduating with Summa Cum Laude. Dr. Marko Rombolakis specializes in sports medicine with a primary focus on pain management and rehabilitation. He works extensively with athletes of all levels and has developed a particular expertise and joy in treating runners and marathoners. His tailored approach addresses the unique physical demands of endurance sports, helping these athletes recover, stay injury-free, and perform at their peak. To improve mobility and reduce pain, Dr. Rombolakis applies Active Release Techniques (ART)—a precise, hands-on therapy that targets soft tissue adhesions, restores range of motion, and enhances movement quality. He also offers both Radial and Focused Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), advanced non-invasive treatments that deliver acoustic energy to injured tissues. Shockwave therapy is particularly beneficial for chronic or hard-to-treat conditions, including disc herniation and sciatica, plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy (jumper’s knee), hamstring strains, shin splints, and IT band syndrome. These treatments help break down scar tissue, improve circulation, relieve pain, and stimulate the body’s natural healing response, often accelerating recovery and improving long-term function. Above all, Dr. Rombolakis stays true to his roots as a chiropractor, delivering world-class adjustments that amplify healing and restore balance throughout the body.
Dr. Rombolakis is deeply committed to providing patient-centred, highly attentive care and genuinely finds joy and purpose in doing so.
