Dr. Matthew Dwyer is an orthopaedic surgeon treating patients in San Antonio and the surrounding communities. He holds certification from the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Dwyer provides care at North Central Baptist Hospital, Methodist Stone Oak Hospital,Stone Oak Surgery Center and Legent Orthopaedic and Spine Hospital.
Originally from San Antonio, Dr. Dwyer attended Southwest Texas State University, graduating magna cum laude. He pursued his medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center. Dr. Dwyer continued his medical education at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where he received his residency training in orthopaedic surgery.
Patients visiting Dr. Dwyer can receive a full range of orthopaedic services. He provides general consultations and treatment for issues including sports injuries and problems with the neck, elbow, wrist, back, ankle, knee, and foot. In addition to his practice, Dr. Dwyer has participated in research on subjects including bone loss and dislocations. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Dwyer enjoys hunting, running, and snow skiing
