He completed his Internal Medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx.

Dr. Schechter then pursued a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Millcreek Community Hospital. To further enhance his expertise, he completed fellowships in Pain Medicine and Interventional Spine Medicine at Unique Pain Medicine. Dr. Schechter utilizes various highly successful treatments to stop pain. If your pain is mild and you are not seeking treatment, we recommend you visit your primary care physician. **Dr. Schechter does NOT prescribe opioids. This practice is for patients who seek to be pain-free without the need to take such medications.** His extensive training and experience across multiple specialties allow him to see the complete picture of each individual patient. His focus is not only on the pain but also on the underlying causes and contributing factors from other areas of the body.

His greatest achievement is seeing patients exceed their own expectations by performing activities they never thought they could do again. Dr. Schechter uses multiple modalities to achieve this goal, including corticosteroid injections for the spine and joints, radiofrequency ablation, as well as regenerative medicine. With his unique training in both Sports Medicine and Pain Management, Dr. Schechter is well versed in all areas of musculoskeletal medicine. He has published multiple research studies and presented his research at the American Osteopathic Academy of Sports Medicine.
