Pantea Hashemi, MD, a board-certified dermatologist and founder of USI, is delighted to share her medical and cosmetic expertise with the Sacramento community. She has over 10 years of experience in dermatology and has been trained in several prestigious institutes. Her research focus is early detection of skin cancers at the stage amenable to minimally invasive treatment. Thorough skin check is offered at the office visit with full education on different types of skin cancer and the most appropriate way of treatments from field therapy to surgical excisions and recommendations on diet, lifestyle and skin care products. After completing a preliminary year of internal medicine at Harbour Hospital, a Johns Hopkins affiliate, she continued to pursue her dermatology residency at New York Medical College, where she was selected as the chief resident in her senior year. Her postgraduate training includes a fellowship in dermatopathology at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology, followed by a cutaneous oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY
