Dr. Patrice Powell is a Nurse Practitioner in Jamaica, NY. She started her path as a registered nurse at a New York Presbyterian Hospital for over 7 years before transitioning into a Nurse Practitioner.
Dr. Powell graduated from Adelphi University with honours and became board-certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. Dr. Powell has worked alongside providers at Weill Cornell Medicine in Transplant Nephrology as a Clinical Nurse Practitioner for several years. She started her career, however, as a Nurse Practitioner working in internal medicine and home care part-time. She is very passionate about working in low-income communities, so she never stopped working in home care. Following her passion for internal medicine and home care, Dr. Powell left the busy streets of Manhattan to work in her community as a Nurse Practitioner in internal medicine at Advantage Care Physician for several years while maintaining provider home care services. She later obtained her Doctoral degree with honours from Chamberlain University and decided to focus on starting her practice and setting a higher standard in healthcare. She strives to continue to provide optimal health care to patients in the home and virtually.
