Dr. Mirali is on the path to becoming one of the top plastic surgeons in the Fairfax, Virginia area, holding two board certifications: from the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University and completed his residency in Plastic Surgery at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Mirali holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Johns Hopkins University. Early in his career, Dr. Mirali worked as a plastic surgeon at Hershey Medical Center, where he served as an Assistant Professor in Surgery. There, he educated and trained medical students in general surgery and residents in plastic surgery. During this time, he began conducting clinical research and has since published numerous scientific studies and presented at professional meetings. While at Hershey, he developed a strong interest in Reconstructive Microsurgery. To further his expertise, he completed a fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania, performing more than 160 microsurgical operations. Dr. Mirali offers a full range of cosmetic services, from facelifts to full body contouring after massive weight loss. However, a significant portion of his practice focuses on reconstruction, including bone and soft tissue reconstruction following cancer surgery, trauma, burns, and congenital defects. As a specialist in reconstructive microsurgery, he employs the most advanced techniques for soft tissue reconstruction of breast tissue following cancer treatment.
