Dr Richard Zuniga, MD, is a renowned board-certified hematologist-oncologist providing expert care in New York. Known for his dedication to clinical research and compassionate patient care, Dr. Zuniga brings more than 15 years of experience in treating complex cancers and blood disorders.
Education & Training
Dr. Zuniga earned his medical degree from Universidad de San Martin de Porres Facultad de Medicina Humana in Peru. He completed his residency and first fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital, where he also served as an Attending Physician.
He went on to complete fellowships in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Texas, San Antonio, and in Drug Development Research at UT Health Science Center.
Dr. Zuniga has held leadership roles, including Medical Director of Clinical Research at Lowell General Hospital, and received awards such as the Breast Cancer Achievement Award (2010) and the Attending Teaching Excellence Award (2015) at New York Methodist Hospital.
