If you do not have a Cardiology Referral order, and if you do not have any diagnostics done (ex: blood work, US Echo, Vascular Ultrasounds, event monitor, etc) before coming to your appointment with Dr Wilbur, you will see Dr Wilbur’ Licensed Staff Physician for initial evaluation. Cardiology Referral order, as well as insurance pre-authorizations for required tests and procedures, will be completed during your first visit. All patients are required to contactthe office as soon as possible. **** If needed, you will be scheduled to see Dr Wilbur directly. Dr Sabrina Wilber is a highly trained and experienced Cardiologist who is Board Certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Disease. Dr Wilbur specializes in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology. Dr Wilbur has extensive 20-year experience working as an attending physician at various NYC hospitals as well as working in private practices. Dr. Wilbur sees patients for symptoms like shortness of breath, dizziness or chest pains, among others. Heart problems identified and cared for include heart failure, heart aneurysms, coronary artery disease, rheumatic heart disease, arrhythmia, angina and congenital heart defects. As a cardiac electrophysiologist, Dr. Wilbur specializes in the electrical processes of the heart. She may perform non-invasive procedures to help record the electrical activity within the heart. Your upcoming encounter at 14 Street Medical Arts will consist of two visits: – Initial Evaluation is usually done by Dr Wilbur’s staff Physician. During this visit, we will conduct procedures and diagnostic tests, as necessary, such as Blood Work, Electrocardiogram, Ultrasound Echocardiogram, Event monitor, Vascular and General Ultrasound Studies, etc., to create underlying diagnostics and data for a proper treatment plan. Dr Wilbur’s state-of-the-art office technology enables patients to do all diagnostics on-site during the first visit. -Cardiovascular Consultation is performed by Cardiologist, Dr Wilbur, where she will evaluate all diagnostics and data, and create your treatment plan. If needed, depending on the condition, the Doctor will do a “STAT” / “Wet” (immediate) reading.
