Description
Dr. Shivani Verma is an Interventional Cardiologist with extensive training in medicine and cardiology, including specialized fellowships in Interventional Cardiology and Cardio-Oncology. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from St.
George’s University School of Medicine and completed residencies at both the University of California and Maimonides Medical Center. At Maimonides, where she completed the majority of her training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, and Interventional Cardiology, Dr. Verma developed a deep understanding of diagnosing and treating various cardiac conditions. Her fellowships further demonstrate her expertise in performing complex procedures such as angioplasties and stent placements to restore blood flow and prevent heart attacks. She also completed a fellowship in cardio-oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (Memorial Hospital for Cancer and Allied Diseases), where she gained specialized knowledge in managing the unique cardiovascular risks faced by cancer patients during treatment. Through these experiences, Dr. Verma has developed a comprehensive, personalized approach to cardiovascular care, focusing on evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s medical history, lifestyle, and goals. She is dedicated to ensuring her patients receive the best possible care and prides herself on fostering strong patient-physician relationships. Additionally, Dr. Verma currently serves as the Associate Program Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program at Maimonides Medical Center.
