Stephanie Rand, DO, is Associate Program Director, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residency at Montefiore and Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine as well as Assistant Professor of Anatomy and Structural Biology at our Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She practices general rehabilitation medicine, with a focus on prosthetics, bracing, and musculoskeletal medicine, including osteopathic manipulative treatments.

In 2006, Dr. Rand received her Bachelor of Arts in anthropology from New York University. She earned her Doctor of Osteopathy in 2010 at New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She then completed a traditional rotating internship at Nassau University Medical Center in 2011, followed by a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Montefiore in 2014. Dr. Rand’s published research explores many areas, including the effective use of 3-dimensional (3D) printing for prostheses, the integration of alternative medicine into primary care, and differences in generational learning styles. She oversees the department’s 3D printing lab, with a focus on printing durable medical equipment and prostheses.

Dr. Rand is board-certified and is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, the Association of Academic Physiatrists, and the New York Society of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
