Dr. Tibor Gershkovich, MD

I, Dr. Tibor Gershkovich, MD, have been practicing pediatric medicine for the past 35 years: 18 years in Europe and, since 1994, in the United States. I graduated from Saint Petersburg State Pediatric-Medical University with a Doctor of Medicine degree and completed my residency in Pediatrics at Maimonides Medical Center.

I cannot imagine my life without being a pediatrician; seeing sick children get better under my care, watching tiny premature newborns gain weight, start to sit, walk, and talk, and smile at me—these are all indescribable feelings of joy. I am affiliated with three hospitals in the tri-state area: Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, Beth Israel Hospital in Manhattan, and Methodist Hospital, where I also see my private patients. I enjoy my practice daily, but also love to travel around the world. My interests include collecting stamps, coins, and copies of famous paintings, as well as watching soccer and baseball games.

My favourite teams are the New York Rangers and Knicks.
