Description
I’m Hannah, a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing evidence-based, whole-person-centred mental health care tailored to individual needs.
I am also Nationally Board Certified in Public Health and hold a Ph.D. in Population Health from the University of Massachusetts Boston. My medical training includes a master’s degree from Hawai’i Pacific University, specializing in psychiatric mental health advanced practice nursing. Additionally, I serve as faculty at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, School of Nursing, teaching both undergraduate and graduate students.
My research focuses on the intersections of community, family, and interpersonal violence impacting youth mental health and chronic healthcare needs. I collaborate with schools to develop whole-child, whole-community approaches, particularly for children and adolescents with disabilities. In my psychiatry practice, I take a holistic, trauma-informed approach to mental health care, creating a safe and supportive environment for healing.
I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, trauma, and sleep challenges in adolescents and adults. I also work closely with families, helping parents navigate their child’s developmental and emotional needs through integrative care. Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, travelling, and spending time with my dogs. Exploring new cultures and experiencing nature enriches my perspective and enhances my approach to holistic psychiatric care.
