Dr. Alison Bell, DPM, MS , MPH was born in Manhattan and is a graduate of Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science in L.A. where she received her degree in Public Health. She obtained her medical degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Ohio.
Her residency was at Henry Ford Wyandotte and its affiliated locations in Detroit. She also completed a fellowship in Sacramento, CA., where she specialized in limb salvage, trauma, reconstruction, and in entry to nerve repair. Dr. Bell is a board-qualified surgeon and an Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. She has significant experience performing joint fusions and foot reconstruction and is extensively trained in treating various complications of the foot and ankle.
She is a big advocate for conservative care for all foot and ankle pathologies and believes that non-surgical treatment options should be attempted first before taking the surgical route for many pathologies. When not helping her patients, Dr. Bell enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with her 12-year-old schnauzer terrier Bella.
