Dr Amishi Desai, MD

Dr Amishi Desai, MD, is a highly regarded, board-certified hematologist-oncologist providing expert care in New York, with a special focus on lung malignancies and blood disorders. She is known for her patient-centred approach, clinical excellence, and dedication to teaching and research.

Education & Training

Dr. Desai received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from K.J. Somaiya Medical College, India. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Winthrop-University Hospital, where she also pursued a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology and served as Chief Fellow.

She was awarded first prize for her research on venous thromboembolism and was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine in Hematology and Oncology at SUNY Medical School.
