Dr. Michael Abidin, MD Senior Partner, Metropolitan ENT Dr. Michael Abidin has been serving the Alexandria, VA community for over 20 years. He founded his solo practice in 1996, which has since grown into Metropolitan ENT, a respected provider of ENT care.

Dr. Abidin earned his MD from the University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed his training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he undertook a surgical internship, residency in otolaryngology, and fellowships in both otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery. He also completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at Tampa General Hospital. In addition to his expertise in otolaryngology, Dr. Abidin has a strong interest in immunology and founded Metro Immune Lab to advance treatments for immune-related ENT conditions. He is also the innovator of a Hyoid Suspension Procedure to treat sleep apnea, a groundbreaking technique that has helped improve patient outcomes. Dr. Abidin holds several patents for medical instruments and techniques, as well as non-medical items.

Dr. Abidin is dedicated to patient-centered care, using his expertise and innovative methods to create personalized treatment plans. He values patient education and works closely with individuals to ensure they are well-informed about their health. Dr. Abidin resides in Northern Virginia and enjoys fishing in his spare time.
