Dr. Steven Plotka has been practicing podiatry for 27 years since graduating from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. At St. Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY, Dr. Plotka completed his post-graduate training, his Podiatric Medical Residency, and his Podiatric Surgical Residency. While at St. Barnabas, Dr. Plotka was the Chief Podiatric Resident. Dr. Plotka is Board Certified, ABPOPPM and Board Qualified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery. He is currently on staff at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in NY and Raritan Bay Medical Center in NJ. Dr. Plotka is also a faculty member at Mt. Sinai School of Medicine and at New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He has given many lectures on Osteomyelitis, Diabetic Foot, Ankle Arthroscopy, Cerebral Palsy, Diagnostic Imaging of Diabetic Foot Infections and Osteomyelitis, Surgical Management of Flexible Flatfoot Deformity, and Hereditary Osteo-chondromatosis. Dr. Plotka was published in The Podiatric Medical Review on “Spastic Cerebral Palsy: Treatment Modalities”. While at N.Y.C.P.M., Dr. Plotka received a Certificate for Outstanding Scholastic Achievement in the Basic Sciences and was indoctrinated into the Pi Delta National Podiatric Honor Society. He was awarded the Presidential Scholarship for Academic Excellence, Trustee Scholarship for Academic Excellence and the Tai Scholarship for Academic Excellence. Dr. Plotka received an Honor Award in Recognition of Outstanding Dedication and Leadership, and a Certificate of Appreciation for Unselfish Devotion and Dedication from the Union City Emergency Medical Services
