Joan, a registered nurse since 1995, has dedicated 24 years of her career to the emergency department, serving both as a staff nurse and in leadership roles at Huntington Hospital. In May of 2020, she graduated from the Hofstra Northwell School of Graduate Nursing, specializing in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Her journey continued at Northwell Health Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she contributed her expertise on a Behavioral Health Medical Floor. Pursuing further education, Joan underwent post-master’s studies to attain dual board certification as both a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. Joan firmly believes in fostering trusting and collaborative relationships with her patients, empowering them to actively engage in their treatment journey. With a keen ear and compassionate approach, she listens attentively to their concerns and experiences, tailoring personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs and aspirations.
