Description
I hope that the ideal client will have trust in me, enabling me to be most effective in my role. This trust can mean less disappointment and frustration, but also allow the client to be willing to do their part in the process and journey. It is my experience that my clients know themselves better than anyone. They are their own and my, best resource when it comes to treatment. I see therapy as a joint venture where our knowledge and skills combine to create solutions by building trust, through authenticity, freedom, and positive regard. Therapy is different for everyone. What we do is unique to you and defined by your goals and needs. Sometimes looking to the past, family systems, and origins, or at other times staying in the here and now. Therapy can involve skill-building, developing insight, sitting with feelings, or supporting change.
