My name is Michelle Cermeno, and I am a Social Worker and a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counsellor (LCADC). I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Rutgers University, specializing in clinical practice with a focus on Substance-Use Disorders, Addictive Disorders, and Co-Occurring (Mental Health) Disorders. Complementing my academic background, my undergraduate studies encompassed Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. This multidisciplinary foundation equips me with a comprehensive understanding of my clients’ issues from diverse perspectives. My journey in counselling commenced in 2013, affording me extensive experience across various levels of care and diverse settings. Over the years, I have worked with adolescents, adults, couples, and families, providing me with a breadth of experience to draw upon.
