Description

Ryan Savolskis is a licensed psychotherapist in New York and New Jersey who draws upon Psychodynamic Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) in his work with clients of all ages. He specializes in treating adolescents and adults struggling with addiction, LGBTQ concerns, depression, anxiety, trauma, identity questions, self-esteem, parenting, family conflict, and life transitions. Ryan works with teen and adult individuals, as well as couples and families. He holds a Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. In his work, Ryan provides a confidential and supportive space where clients can explore challenging feelings and concerns. He believes that all people want to be seen and heard, and that when they experience their stories in isolation, they risk feelings of shame, anger, depression, anxiety, and fear. In his engaging approach, Ryan strives to understand each client’s unique story. With the client as an active participant, he assists them in recovering from past setbacks, establishing coping mechanisms to surmount current and future stressors, and paving a path forward toward an authentic and fulfilling life.
