Description
Hello, I’m Tristan Hartman, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to providing compassionate care and support to individuals. With a diverse background that spans from emergency room nursing to specialized psychiatric care, my journey into mental health care began with a deep-seated appreciation for helping others. My path started in the service industry as a bartender, where I honed my skills in understanding and connecting with people. This experience fueled my desire to pursue nursing, leading me to begin my journey in the fast-paced environment of emergency medicine, where I witnessed firsthand the crucial intersection of physical and mental health. This pivotal experience inspired me to specialize in psychiatry, guiding individuals through some of their most challenging moments. My career has taken me through various roles at institutions like College Hospital, Costa Mesa UCI Medical Center, and Kaiser Permanente, where I gained extensive experience in inpatient psychiatry, crisis stabilization, and addiction medicine. At UCI, I had the privilege of serving as a clinical instructor for nursing students, sharing my passion for psychiatric nursing and mentoring the next generation of caregivers.
Now based in Austin, I am thrilled to be part of Austin Family Mental Health, where I offer comprehensive care for a wide range of mental health conditions, including mood disorders, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD, addiction, trauma, and more. My approach is rooted in evidence-based practices and tailored to meet each individual’s unique needs, fostering a therapeutic alliance built on trust and empathy.
In my practice, I prioritize collaborative and holistic care, empowering individuals to achieve their optimal mental well-being. Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or a loved one, I am here to provide compassionate care and help navigate the complexities of mental health with dignity and respect. I look forward to the opportunity to support.
