Boris Chernobilsky, MD, is double board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the International Sleep Surgical Society. He specializes in all manner of sleep and airway surgery with particular expertise in hypoglossal nerve stimulation, advanced palatopharyngeal techniques such as expansion and mucosal advancement palatoplasty, nasal and sinus surgery, as well as minimally invasive procedures for snoring. With a particular passion for sleep disorders and 18 years of practice, Dr. Chernobilsky started sleep surgery and hypoglossal nerve stimulation programs at two prestigious academic medical centers in New York City. He brought these new technologies and advanced techniques first to Mount Sinai Health System in 2015 and then to NYU Langone Health in 2018. His deep understanding of both medical and surgical sleep issues allows him to provide each patient with a personalized solution and an honest, balanced opinion.

Dr. Chernobilsky obtained his Bachelor of Arts at Cornell University in Biology with a concentration in Neurobiology and Behaviour and Government with a concentration in International Relations. He obtained his Medical Doctorate at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University and achieved membership in Alpha Omega Alpha, the national medical honour society, for his clinical rotations.

His residency was at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, the oldest specialty hospital in the western hemisphere.
