Description
Karthya Pott is a board-certified family medicine physician who is originally from the Gaithersburg, Maryland area. She received her undergraduate degree from University of Maryland, College Park achieving the Magna Cum Laude honor. She received her medical degree from the University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland in 2017. She completed her family medicine residency at Christiana Care in Newark, Delaware in 2020. She worked for a few years in Pennsylvania at a busy suburban primary care clinic before returning back to her home state which she loves. While she enjoys all aspects of primary care, her particular clinical interests include women’s health, depression/anxiety treatment, preventative care medicine, and gender affirming hormone therapy. What she truly values about her work, however, is cultivating a supportive and respectful physician-patient relationship. She strives to educate patients about their health, to empower them to make the best decisions for themselves, and to provide them a safe and judgement-free space during their office visit. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family (particularly her 5 nephews and niece), reading, cooking, and playing with her dog.
